PRODUCT: PROSECCO DOC BRUT

The Review:
When it comes to bang for buck, our panel was smitten with this beautifully bittersweet spritz. Some tasters noted a herbaceous quality to the nose and palate, and all appreciated the balance. ‘As someone who finds a lot of cocktails too syrupy sweet, this is really refreshing,’ said one taster. ‘It is spritzy in every way I want it to be,’ commented another.

PRODUCT: PROSECCO DOC BRUT

The Review:
A touch of Chardonnay is combined with the Glera grape to produce this light and vibrant wine, from a longtime producer said to have been the first to import Prosecco to the U.S. (in 1984).

New York Post

PRODUCT: PROSECCO DOC BRUT

The Review:
Prosecco can be grown in valleys, but hillsides are ideal for grapes, and Zardetto’s got prime real estate. ‘There’s Prosecco, and there’s Zardetto Prosecco,’ says Matt Wong, general manager of Sherry-Lehmann. Plus, it’s a crowd-pleaser: ‘This is what you do – you bring Prosecco to a party.’"

Amy Glynn – Paste

PRODUCT: PRIVATE CUVÈE BRUT

The Review:
Intense straw color, lovely perlage (that’s French for ‘the bubbles hang around for a long time’), highly aromatic with lots of peach, pear and green apple on the approach. Floral flipside, with a lemon-like finish. Rich and substantial, but not a drama queen. This one’s a great seafood wine, but again, don’t think you have to restrict yourself to seafood. It’s a team player.
